Day 01: Kathgodam / Pantnagar – Jageshwar Dham

Your spiritual journey begins with a warm welcome at Kathgodam Railway Station or Pantnagar Airport. Drive through picturesque mountain roads passing Bhimtal, Almora, and dense pine forests before reaching the sacred temple town of Jageshwar.

After hotel check-in and refreshments, visit the ancient Jageshwar Temple Complex, one of India’s most revered Jyotirlinga traditions. In the evening, witness the peaceful Maha Aarti, where the sound of bells and Vedic chants fills the valley with divine energy.

Begin the day with early morning prayers at Jageshwar Dham, followed by a short drive to Vriddha Jageshwar Temple, believed to be the original meditation site of Lord Shiva.

Overnight Stay: Dharchula

Distance: Approx. 95 km | Drive: 6–7 Hours (Mountain Road)

After breakfast, proceed towards the Indo-Tibet border region. The adventurous drive follows the Kali River through scenic mountain roads crossing Tawaghat, Malpa, Budhi, Chialekh, and Garbyang before reaching Gunji and nearby Nabi Village.

These remote Himalayan settlements provide a glimpse into the traditional lifestyle of the Bhotia community while offering spectacular mountain scenery.

Today is the most sacred day of the pilgrimage.

After seeking blessings, return through the beautiful Himalayan route to Dharchula.
